SAP Sim
Our SAP Sim, or Secondary Air Pump Simulator, is a device which emulates the necessary signals for proper ECU operation when removing the Secondary Air Pump from your vehicle.
When to use
When you have removed your Secondary Air Pump, or when you want to remove your rear EGO sensors (such as when you remove your catalytic converter(s) or build a custom exhaust). Our SAP Sim will solve all ECU checks and operation for one or both of those situations.
Installation
Single-Track Monitoring
Single-track monitoring is when there is a single pre-cat. and a single post-cat. EGO sensor. There are two ways to install the SAP Sim: retaining rear EGO sensor operation, and deleting the rear EGO sensor.
You should retain the rear EGO if you wish to keep the catalytic converter checks. If you have removed your catalytic converter (cat.), you will want to delete the rear EGO sensor.
Double-Track Monitoring
double-track monitoring is when there are two pre-cat. and two post-cat. EGO sensors. Generally this is used on "V" engines (V8, V10, V12), when there are two exhaust manifolds on opposing sides. Similarly to single-track monitoring, there are two ways to install: retaining rear EGO sensor operation, and deleting the rear EGO sensor.
You should retain the rear EGO sensors if you wish to keep the catalytic converter checks. If you have removed your catalytic converters (cat.), you will want to delete the rear EGO sensors.
